Help Us Reach Our 2017 Goal-We can't do it without you!!!
Thanks to the support of businesses, friends and family, we were able to accomplish quite a bit. In the summer of 2016, we conducted a workshop consisting of several classes in Drawing-From-Music and Modern/Hip-Hop Dance at Face to Face in Germantown, PA. Over 60 students (age’s kindergarten to 16) attended these classes while at Face to Face’s summer camp. In the fall we brought Drawing-from-Music to Laurel House Women’s Shelter in Norristown, PA and have received approval to repeat the workshop monthly through the end of the year into 2017. In May of this year Anthe introduced the AnA Project to the Wissahickon Valley through an arts lecture. Since then we have collaborated with the Wissahickon Valley Public Library in their Blue Bell and Ambler branches to hold workshops. We were able to provide several Drawing-from-Music and Drawing from Dance Workshops. We received our first grant from The Bray Family Foundation.
We are blessed to have such amazing volunteers who have helped us to reach our ambitious budget last year of $10,100.00 which put us $100.00 over goal. We are hoping to do the same this year.
We had several fundraisers to help us achieve last year's goal. The Historic Bethlehem Pike’s Give Back Program “Shop for the Cause” is scheduled for this spring. We just finished a "Clean up and out fundraiser" supported by local merchants, Scarlet Begonias and BQ Basements with another scheduled in the fall. We have workshops scheduled for the Wissahickon Valery Public Library in Blue Bell PA. on May 24th. Featured at the event is a mini workshop with the aid of Theresa Ford who is the moving model for the Drawing from Dance and Music and the live music of Michele Miller segment. We held a joint fundraiser with the Ambler Theatre in October and will be having “The AnA Project and a Movie” annual fundraiser in the fall. The raffle baskets, wine pull and 50/50 brought in over $1,700 last year.
We are happy to report the creation and staffing of our all volunteer IT team, which is hard at work building the infrastructure so that The AnA Project can handle anticipated expansions in to outlying communities. Audrey Harmon leads the team.
I would like to personally thank you, for considering to support of The AnA Project, our vision, and our mission!
We can’t do what we do without you!
